Ryan Files is an educator, writer, editor, and poet discovering new artistic opportunities in Arizona. He is currently a Teaching Artist for Arizona State University's Piper Center, where he specializes in teaching creative writing. This Black-Sci-Fi.com staff writer of five years enjoys reviewing and critiquing comic books and video games. His first chapbook, Introvert, was published in 2022. Ryan was selected as a Arizona spoken word state qualifier in 2023 where he finished as a semifinalist. His new book, Half Dollar Moments, is now available for purchase, and was chosen to be a part of Indie Arizona, a collection of books administered by BiblioBoard to libraries across the state.
