Ryan Files is an educator, writer, editor, and poet discovering new artistic opportunities in Arizona. He is currently a Teaching Artist for Arizona State University's Piper Center, where he specializes in teaching creative writing. This staff writer of five years enjoys reviewing and critiquing comic books and video games. His first chapbook, Introvert, was published in 2022. Ryan was selected as a Arizona spoken word state qualifier in 2023 where he finished as a semifinalist. His new book, Half Dollar Moments, is now available for purchase, and was chosen to be a part of Indie Arizona, a collection of books administered by BiblioBoard to libraries across the state.
