Ryan Files is an educator, writer, editor, and poet. He is a Teaching Artist for Arizona State University's Piper Center, where he specializes in teaching creative writing. Ryan was selected as an Arizona spoken word state qualifier in 2023 where he finished as a semifinalist. His poetry has been published in anthologies from Middle West Press and Moonstone Publishing, and he was announced as a finalist for the Writer’s Digest 2023 National Poetry Competition for his poem “Harlem Noir”. His book, Half Dollar Momentswas chosen to be a part of Indie Arizona, a collection of books administered by BiblioBoard to libraries across the state.
